He was super excited
About the upcoming feast
Of acorns fixed fancy
In all sorts of ways
To fill all the bellies
Of his flock of Blue Jays
There would be acorns baked
And acorns fried
Frittered acorn soufflé
And diced acorn pie
Acorns with berries
And acorns with bugs
Acorns in baskets
And juicy acorns in jugs
There would be acorn jellies,
acorns mashed, acorn soup,
And acorns hashed
But what he really looked forward to
Was to be with his family of Jays
