Mad Minute Addition Game

Mad Minute Addition Game
Addition Fluency Game

Mad Minute Addition Game

Students get exactly 60 seconds to answer as many addition facts as possible. The game auto-finishes, scores the session, saves raw data for the teacher dashboard, celebrates progress with confetti, and creates a printable student report with missed facts.

Perfect for classroom, homework, tutoring, homeschooling, or weekend practice.

How the Game Works

Students sign in, choose a level, and click Start. The timer runs for one fixed 60-second mad minute. At 60 seconds, the game automatically finishes, reports, checks for a new personal best, awards badges, launches confetti when earned, and opens the printable report. There is no early-finish button.

Fixed assignment time: 60 seconds • Auto-finish • Auto-report • Confetti • Badges • Printable missed-problem report
  • Dashboard report: raw summary data only
  • Scoring: 1 point for each correct addition fact answered within 60 seconds
  • Printable report: missed facts, correct answers, best streak, and addition-focus summary
  • Levels: within 5, within 10, within 20, and two-digit addition fluency

Level Overview

Level 1: sums within 5 for kindergarten and early addition fluency.

Level 2: sums within 10 for first-grade addition practice.

Level 3: sums within 20 for stronger fact fluency.

Level 4: two-digit addition for advanced speed and accuracy.

Teacher Note: This activity is part of the Rudolph Academy coded assignment system. No student accounts required. Teachers create an account, generate an assignment code, and share both the activity link and code with students. Students must enter the correct assignment code and their period number when starting the activity so their work is tracked and appears in the correct teacher dashboard reports. If no code is entered, students can still complete the activity, but their results will not be recorded in the system. Use the time, rounds, accuracy, and points shown in the report to set expectations for completion. This activity works well for classroom practice, homework, warm-up, review, or class competition.

How the Coded Assignment System Works

Teachers generate an assignment code, share the code with students, and have students enter it before starting the activity. When a valid code is used, the 60-second Mad Minute results are saved automatically to the teacher dashboard.

  • Valid code: results are connected to the teacher assignment.
  • No code: students may practice, but the result is not attached to a teacher assignment.
  • Wrong or expired code: the game will not start until the code is corrected.

Teacher Tip: Let students practice without an assignment code, then generate a new assignment code for one official 60-second class challenge. This keeps practice scores out of reports and creates a clean dashboard record for each testing session.
