  • 70-81 :The repetition of consonant sounds at the beginning of syllables.
  • 140-147 :A kind of humorous verse of five lines, in which the first, second, and fifth lines rhyme with each other, and the third and fourth lines, which are shorter, form a rhymed couplet.

  • 13-101 :Highly musical verse that expresses the emotions of a speaker and does not tell a story.
  • 76-296 :The type of rhyming in a poem.
  • 171-215 :A semi-long, lyric poem usually praising some subject, and written in elegant and dignified language.
  • 190-322 :The picture the words in the poem create in the reader's mind.
  • 228-404 :The use of sounds that are similar but not exactly the same such as fellow and hollow.
  • 240-306 :A long, narrative poem about the many deeds of a great hero typically connected to a particular culture and show values of society.
  • 280-434 :The sound pattern that uses words that sound similar at the end of each line.
  • 289-465 :The repetition of vowel sounds in stressed syllables that end in different consonant sounds.
  • 319-429 :A simple poem that tells a story, it also has a refrain.
  • 357-445 :A traditional Japanese three-line poem. 5 syllables in 1st line, 7 in 2nd line, 5 in 3rd line. (Must have 17 syllables) usually about nature.
  • 387-475 :Difference between appearance and reality.
